Are you studying the effects on people who are CYP2D6 UM? I have this chromosome abnormality and suffer at the hands of Doctors who don’t know anything about it and who don’t /won’t consider it in my treatments. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Debra. Thanks for your comment. Scientists are only beginning to study kratom’s effects on CYPs in general. In the Journal Club podcast that will be posted tomorrow we’ll be talking about this study which suggests inhibitory effects on multiple CYPs including CYP2D6. You can download the full study here– if you search CYP2D6 they talk about the effects of 3 kratom alkaloids on it https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-76119-w
