Over the past few years, Kratom has become increasingly popular in the public eye. As is the case with most “new” things, news agencies attempt to look at it with a critical eye, attempting to trade page views for manufactured controversy. This, in turn, activates the concerned parent contingent, intent on finding the next PTA issue to rally around.
In recent stories, tragedies have been directed at Kratom and initiatives have been launched to ban Kratom in a few select states. This is an unfortunate perspective considering research and countless stories underline the fact that Kratom has effectively helped people taper off of more dangerous, addictive drugs.
