Please be aware that the below charts reflect estimates and not exact measurements consistent across all kratom vendors. While it is recommended that you buy a scale to correctly measure your kratom, these charts offer support for those who are unable to do so.

When measuring an extract, we strongly recommend purchasing a small digital scale as they often have a significantly higher degree of variability.

I was on oxycodones for 13 years and I was introduced to Kratom by accident. After the research stage, I went off of the oxycodone 10’sand haven’t had 1 day of withdrawals. I make my own capsules using size 00 which hold .5g each. I will take 2 in the morning and most times that’s it, maybe another 1 or 2 during the day depending upon the pain level. The fact that I have no withdrawals from the oxys after 13 yrs is a wonderful experience. I will never take another. I mix Red and White evenly.

I did digress but I would appreciate a response nonetheless.
I have been using Maeng Da capsules and the bottle doesn’t say many grams per capsule. I have recently purchased Red Bali and decided to mix powdered Red Bali with the capsule Maeng Da but don’t know what ratio to go with. I have a high tolerance for anything I’ve ever been prescribed after about eight years of brining prescribed percocet (and other things but other drugs but I want off the percocet the most. I tend to take less than prescribed but still have to take it and have been through the hell of light withdrawal, they couldn’t get the pills to me for an entire day after I would run out. I didn’t want to start taking it all those years ago I’m on 10’s, my pain management specialist told me “pain is barbaric” I replied with “pain is human” a long speech later and I gave into getting the pills. Mostly in hope’s that it’d help my SSI, since apparently the surgery and issues wasn’t enough for them. I’ve been fighting to win for over a decade, at first they thought I was surely too young to be in enough pain. A couple years later I won my case within three minutes of speaking to the judge. Then they took it back three months after, stating they failed to record it; I recieved a new date and they gave me a different judge who gave new a different verdict. When the last prior good judge just read my file, which was smaller but she thought that me having 15 screws and two rods in my spine, with chronic pain was a good enough reason; especially since there were screws coming loose and digging into my back muscles. You could even feel the screws. I heavily digress…).
So, my question is, as someone who sadly needs to take more of most things for them to work but also dont want to run the health risks. How many grams are in a capsule? I typically take between 3-5 capsules and wanted to properly mix Red Bali powder in with tea. I’ve done it three times, trying to play it safe and always before bed. It actually helps my pain enough to allow me 4-5 hours if solid rest, if not interrupted by my wolf pup. I want to use it during the day so I can avoid taking my opioids and what not.

Is it possible to use 2 different kinds of kratom like green and white? Give me your thoughts. Tnanks

    1. Josh

Yes, mixing is a nice switch up and adds different effects.

Use lukewarm (Room temperature) water, it mixes with it well and goes straight down the trap…

I took Kratom a few years ago to get off oxytocin. The withdrawals was what kept me on them. Kratom worked for me. Haven’t taken any kratom for a couple years but thinking of doing it again for a short time due to depression from working at home and being isolated. When I stopped the kratom I had no withdrawals. Only a little tired for a day but could still go to work. No sweats or pain. No laying in bed for days or weeks. Its a hard habit to break. Good luck to you.

Thanks for your message. I’ve been thinking about taking Kratom for depression as well. I was on NorCos about 2 years ago. Went through methadone treatment to stop the opiates

HOw do people get off Kratom due to its addictive properties?

    1. Nathan

It can be hard. My experience is tapering slowly is best. Some people are more sensitive to opioid withdrawal in general. Sidenote: Kratom contains the opioids mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. So despite what some say, Kratom contains opioids because these compounds bind opioid receptors and this is the definition of an opioid. If you’re at 6 g per day, for example, you could cut down by .2-.4 g per day, or what ever allows you to make progress without being in too much discomfort.

Some people seek professional help for Kratom dependence and suboxone can be prescribed for this like other opioid addictions. Personally, I think suboxone can be harder to kick than Kratom due to the long drawn out detox of suboxone, but I’d consult a doctor.
