Mitragyna speciosa (kratom) is a tropical deciduous and evergreen tree in the coffee family. Explore the different strains below to learn which one is right for you.

Bali kratom is commonly known as “premium commercial” quality kratom. It is the most well known kratom on the internet.

Maeng Da has been historically used for various purposes, but many find its energizing, yet still relaxing, properties to be most the unique and beneficial.

Red Kratom strains feels a lot like a traditional kratom. They are highly regarded for their pain relieving attributes. Maeng Da is known as one of the best examples of a premium red strain.

White kratom strains generally have the full range of kratom alkaloids. As a result, these strains are regarded for their noted euphoriating, stimulating aroma.

Green strains are notorious for their distinct ability to combine the pain relieving properties of a red strain with the energetic boost of a white strain. Bali is the most well known green strain.

Many kratom extracts are a reformulation of a classic kratom strain. They are a potent alkaloidal extract of kratom thats reapplied to powdered leaf. This results in a significantly more concentrated version of kratom.

Hi there I too am looking for a strain that will help with opiate withdrawal does anyone know which one I should order I have the red Borneo but I don’t see that one on many of the other sites and I seem to be taking 2 teaspoons of it I need help does anyone respond to these questions???

Maeng Da, or a white strain will be good for withdrawals. Personal experience, the Kratom won’t offer much relief until day 3-5. Hulu is another strain that I find to be powerful and effective as well. Good luck!

Green or gold Maeng Da worked great for me. The only problem is that I’m now strung out on the Kratom and have been for over a year. If you use it for withdrawals I suggest you only take an amount that will keep you from feeling your worst. And then less and less as the withdrawals subside.

Hi Trish, I just came on here for the first time or I’d have answered your question. I’ve been using Kratom for three years and nine months and it saved my life. I took it to get off suboxone which I took to get off ten years of taking methadone for pain. While I was doing this I didn’t know that I was also in heart failure (likely due to the years they left me on the methadone) but the withdrawal I’d literally the worst and can last up to two or more years. If I hadn’t taken the kratom my heart would probably have failed completely-killing me. I have been clean ever since- no thanks to any doctors-who would have let me die. But I started with green Bali but any green will probably be fine. Any of it will work. And ALL is better than not using it! It helps with pain, restless legs, body agitation, all the withdrawal symptoms. I no longer use pain medication for my chronic pain. I use my Kratom. Start with less unless you need more. If you feel nauseous, use less. Start at maybe a teaspoon of Kratom to any juice, tea, chocolate milk (which kills the yucky taste the best, believe it or not-or use it to chase it). I boil nestea or Lipton sweetened lemon ice tea and add my Kratom to that so it steeps for a few minutes- or you can take the capsules (but they suck to get down. They are what I started with.) you can add it to anything that works for you. It can and will get you off what you are addicted to as long as you want to. I’m proof of that. Good luck… you can do this!!! 👍🏼

I just bought a red kali and Maeng Da. I am working toward a hip replacement and have fibro and arthritis. I am active and healthy other than those things. I have a couple of questions:

What exactly am I supposed to feel? Other than taking the edge off the pain for a little while I do not feel anything else.
I am doing 1/4 teaspoon right now, not sure how many grams that is and do not know if that is a light or heavy dose.
I do not have an addictive physiology but I will not take any prescribed pain medications because I do not feel the benefit is worth the side effects. So I do not need recovery, just help with my arthritis and fibro.

Any advice for me? Thanks in advance

I also have fibro pain and I use 2 teaspoons of red maeng da in orange juice one to two times a day sometimes I only do it at night this works great for me I think you are not taking enough.

    2. Trent

I use a couple tablespoons at a time, but I have a higher tolerance than most. Regardless, you can probably up the dose to get better results.
